William F. Sheehan, 81, of Bedford, NH, formerly of Lynn, Medford, Peabody and Stoneham, MA, passed away at his home on January 16, 2020, after a long period of declining health. Born in Lynn, MA on January 15, 1939, he was the only son of the late William and Mary (Graf) Sheehan. He shared 55 years of marriage with his wife, Veronica (Robarge) Sheehan.

William "Bill" was raised and educated in Lynn, MA, graduating from Lynn English High School, Class of 1956. Following high school, William proudly served four years in the United States Air Force as a crew chief on a B47 in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) based at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, NH and several bases around the world. Upon return for civilian life and marrying "Roni", he graduated from New England Broadcasting School and most of career was spent as a service manager for various car dealerships. He loved working on and racing cars on the weekends with Plaisted Foreign Motors.

William was a member of the Toastmaster's and the Lion's Club. He was an avid skier and a passionate volunteer with the New England Handicapped Sports Association (NEHSA) at Mount Sunapee for 35 years. He was a ski instructor for disabled adults and children during those years, including teaching blind and paralyzed students. William had a passion for red heads, a fresh groomed ski trail and a fast Ferrari. Most of all, William was a cherished husband, loving father and devoted Papa who enjoyed time spent with family.

William leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Veronica Sheehan of Bedford, NH; his daughter, Faydeen Sateriale and her husband Paul of Burlington, MA; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas and Emily.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm and a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12pm. Burial with military honors will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.
