Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Richard by adding your memories and photos.

Richard N. Belanger, 67, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Peterborough, NH, he was the son of the late Paul A. Belanger, Sr., and Edna E. Choiunard. Raised and educated in Greenville, Richard married the love of his life, Lorraine (Belanger) Belanger and raised a beautiful family. Richard had been employed as the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor at DevTech Labs, Merrimack, for many years prior to retirement.

An honorably discharged veteran, Richard proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was also a big fan of riding his scooter and his Harley Davidson motorcycle, music, and trips to Dunkin Donuts.

A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Richard's family was paramount in his life. He cherished time spent with his family and many dear friends, especially his grandchildren. An avid animal lover, Richard's cat, Braveheart, and dog, Scrappy, brought him great companionship throughout the years. Richard will be best remembered for his kind heart and love of family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lorraine, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage; two sons, Steven Belanger and his fiancé, Michele Scott, of Manchester, and Christopher Belanger and wife Holly of Hooksett; daughter, Tiffany Lucas and husband David of Manchester; nine grandchildren, Sage, Troy, Carter, Jace, Joseph, Kade, Lexi, Aiden, and Teagan; two brothers, Paul A. Belanger, Jr. of Hooksett, and Robert Belanger of FL; sister, Doris McNaughton of WA; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: His Visitation will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Sunday, January, 29 from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Ste. Marie Parish, Notre Dame Ave., on Monday, January 30, at 10:00A.M. followed by Committal Service at the Mt.
