Nick Hart, 91, of Manchester, NH, passed away February 10, 2017 at Villa Crest Health Care Center.

Nick was born October 4, 1925 in Manchester, NH, a son of Nicholas & Ipopandi (Samiotaki) Hartofelis and had been a lifelong resident of this community.

He was a graduate of Manchester Central High School and attended NH College.

Prior to retirement, Nick was a Sales Representative with Merrimack Street Garage in Manchester for 34 years.

Nick was very active within New Hampshire politics having served as Assistant Majority Whip within the NH Legislature in 1995 and 1996, and was also a former Manchester School Board member as well as being a Selectman in Manchester’s Ward 1. Nick also served as a five year member of the NH State Adult Parole Board.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre.

Nic'k's family is very appreciative for the loving care provided by the staff at Villa Crest Health Care Center.

Family includes his wife, Louise (Caron) Murphy Hart; two sons, Darrell Hart and the late Darcy Hart; Nick’s late wife, Alice Hart who was Darrell and Darcy’s mother; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nick was pre-deceased by wife, Vasiliki Hart; as well as by two brothers and two sisters.

Calling hours will be Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. George Cathedral. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
