Condolence & Memory Journal

Kathryn, Melanie, Joan and families,

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of John, and even sorrier that I was unable to attend the services.  He was one great guy.

I first met him, way back when, when he was working out of. Dr. Dickerman's office on Elm St. back in the 60's.

He helped my twin brother and I pull the wool over our teacher by giving an identical frame with plain glass lenses so we could swap seats.  My brother could get away without his glasses for a while at that time.

It worked until, after a week or two, another student told Sister (name omitted), but it was fun while it lasted.

I also remember when he started Lincoln Park Opticians, as my brother still went to  him for his eyeglasses.

May it comfort you to know that he is at peace and reunited with your Mom, as they both watch down on you all.

Take care, and God Bless.

What a wonderful, wonderful man he was. It was a pleasure to know him for many years. He always had a smile, even when going to the doctor's office. He took great pride in his age. I always thanked him for his service to our country also. I will miss seeing him.
