It was truly an honor to have known Mr. Tonas. He always had a smile for me and would not leave the office without a hug. Hid family was his greatest love and he would tell me stories about them all the time. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jimmy,Costas, and George, you were blessed to have a Dad that understood what being a "Dad" was all about. I was jeolous and at the same time envious of you guys. He became a 2nd father to me and a dear friend. I could always get a smile or laugh out of him. Geoge was a caring and loving man who was not afraid to show it. I respected and admired his tenacity these past few years. The will to live was evident each day as he battled to be on this earth. The summer of 2013 little George and I took him to the lake for a ride in my boat, his long gray hair blew through the wind as he sat there smiling and enjoying the fresh air. It was a special day.
In closing I will miss my friend dearly, as will alot of other people. Remember to define friend in a dictionary all you need is a picture of my friend George.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever. I will always remember George as well dressed, personable gentleman with a great sense of humor.
Sharp as a tack, when I met George as a new member of the extended family, he recalled meeting me a decade earlier - and he was right. We had in fact met, he a customer, I an employee of Market Basket at the time.
Just last summer, as he came to my home to enjoy some July 4th fireworks, we had a small mishap, and a good amount of fireworks shot directly towards where he was seated. While everyone else scattered for safety, George remained seated with a smile on his face as fireworks exploded all around him. When it was all done, and the smoke cleared, he laughed it off, and joked that he thought he was back in Korea!
God Bless him. He is finally home with his wife again.
To the family he leaves behind, you have my thoughts and prayers as well.
