Nina S. Dolena, 93, daughter of Stephen and Natalie Locko of Staten Island, NY, born on May 16, 1922, died February 19, 2016, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, after a rapid decline in overall health. She most recently lived inManchester, NH, but had also lived in Nashua. She and her husband, Jerry Dolena, were the former owners of the Swiss Chalets Motel in Intervale, NH.

She graduated from Wagner College in New York City and worked in the accounting departments for US Lines and Bethlehem Steel. She fell in love and married the man of her dreams, Jerry, in 1950. They lived in Merrick, Long Island, NY, and moved to Intervale, NH, in 1969.

Nina was a fiercely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Jerry, her parents, and brothers Johnny, Benjamin, and William.

She leaves behind her daughter, Alexandra (Sandee) Nichols, and her husband, Steven, of Manchester, granddaughter, Alexis, and her husband, Ken Perron, of Manchester, their children, Alyssia and Talen, granddaughter, Annie, and her husband, Tyler Chaput, of Litchfield, her brother, Serge Locko, of San Diego, California, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester.

Funeral services followed by burial will take place at St. Vladimir Cemetery in Jackson, New Jersey at the convenience of family.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.

Dear Sandee:

I was greatly saddened by the news of Nina's passing.  My deepest sympathy to you and your family.  Nina was such a delightful person, always cheerful and friendly.  I always enjoyed seeing her.  I feel so very blessed that I got to see her last time she was In the office!.  I hope you feel blessed and comforted in all your memories of her and knowing you were always there for her!  You were a blessing to her!  I could clearly see that!

Sandee and family, I want to express my heartfelt sympathies to everyone. How sad this made me when I heard, gosh what a wonderful women. God bless her always, and in no more pain. For now she rest in eternal peace with her Jerry. Loved every minute I got to spend with her. Enjoyed to listen to her long life stories and how happy she was with her Jerry. But her biggest thing in life was you Sandee, such unconditional Love she had for you. WOW. Your're one lucky lady ! And how she loved all the others so close in her life. She melted every chance she had with you all. I thank you all for letting me in a part of all your lives with Nina. She's the best anyone could ever have. Rest easy Nina. xoxoxo
