Please accept our condolences!
She was a wonderful lady! I grew up knowing her and being around her musical abilities and such! She was supportive when I seriously began learning music! She was just one of those people that lit up the room! Love to everyone in the family at this time!!

Please accept my condolences for your loss. Mrs. Edmonds was one of my all time favorite teachers at McKelive. She had us read The Hobbit and turned me into a life long avid reader and JRR Tolkien fan. I think of her often and fondly.

Sylvia was a mentor to me in my earliest years of teaching. I still remember the model lesson she taught in my classroom...probably 45 years ago. It stayed with me as something to aspire to. What a special person! Please accept my sympathy and condolences at her passing.

Dear Steve and Doreen I'm very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. She was my English teacher at McKelvie school back in the late sixties. She taught us linguistics and always challenged us with her choice of required reading materials but I learned so much because she expected us to excel. She was a great leader and a lovely lady

I loved your mother as my teacher and one who gave me the opportunity to find my voice. And Shakespeare, and the Bible for amazing language. Thank you for sharing her with all her students.

Mrs.Edmunds inspired hundreds of students in Bedford- she was an amazing English teacher. I will never forget her lessons on "courtly love" and thought of her often over the years. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Ann Maloney Jeffers

To the Family of Sylvia Edmunds

So sorry for your loss and so many wonderful memories we have of Mrs. Edmunds loving work as a teacher and music director at Bedford school. My son, Bill Broder had her for a 4th or 5th grade teacher ( can't remember) and thought she was the best. The music she could get out of those children was amazing and Doreen your voice, also amazing. Do you remember the talent show to benefit the Mothers' Club School? My husband( Duke) was the MC and we made a lot more then expected thanks to your Mom. Mrs. Edmunds will always be remembered, may she rest in peace.
