Tribute & Message From The Family

Marion Kay Paulson, 67, passed away peacefully after a five year battle with brain cancer on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Born to the late Hans and Alma (Luschen) Geewe on August 20, 1950 in Wakefield, NE. Marion and Jeff were married on January 15, 1977 in Omaha, NE. They enjoyed 41 years of marriage together.

Marion always had an unrelenting thirst for knowledge. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University Of Nebraska Medical Center, and Master's degrees from Rivier College in both Mathematics and Teaching. She also earned her commercial and residential real estate licenses, and paralegal certification.

Marion maintained an unwavering faith in God, matched only by the love she possessed for her country and family. She voluntarily tutored future Soldiers in math and helped organize weekly events with the Pease Greeters celebrating troops returning safely from deployment. A proud mother of two veterans: her daughter, Jessica Armstrong, who deployed to Iraq with the 3rd Infantry Division, and her son, Matthew, who deployed with the 10th Mountain Division and 2nd Ranger Battalion to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

She is survived by Jeff, Jessica, and Matthew; her brother, John Geewe; her sister, Meryl Albrecht; and other family members and friends.

A celebration of Marion's life will take place on Saturday, March 24 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Friends and family are invited to gather at 10:30am with the celebration beginning at 11.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Marion's memory be made to the New Hampshire SPCA (NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885, http://nhspca.org/donate-2/).
