Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Jeannine by adding your memories and photos.

Jeannette "Jeannine" (Rousseau) Laberge, 87, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a short period of declining health. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends during her last days.

Born in St. Gedeon de Beauce, Quebec, Canada, she is the daughter of the late Wilfred and Marie (Simard) Rousseau. Raised and educated in Canada, Jeannine married the love of her life, the late Hubert Laberge in 1959, and relocated to Manchester in 1966. The young couple settled on Manchester's Westside to raise their beautiful family.

A dedicated wife, mother, and friend, Jeannine's family was paramount in her life. Jeannine was a devoted wife and mother who found abundant pleasure and satisfaction being a homemaker. She took great pride in cooking and baking for her family as well as tending to her many flower beds. In her younger years, Jeannine and Hubert enjoyed camping on weekends and cookouts at the lake with their family. A longtime parishioner of Ste. Marie Church, Jeannine found comfort and strength in her Christian Faith. Jeannine will be best remembered for her generous heart and love of family.

Jeannine is survived by her two daughters, Claire Laberge and wife Anne Yates of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Josee Desmarais and husband John of Goffstown; son, Pierre Laberge and wife Donna of Manchester; 6 grandchildren, Eric, Melanie, Renee, Robert, Andrew, and Adam; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Jeannine was predeceased by her husband, Hubert Laberge, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage; son, Remi Laberge; and 10 siblings.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester on Thursday, June 14 at 10:00A.M. Committal Service to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
