Frank Miele, 89, of Alexandria, NH died Saturday, August 25, 2018 following a period of declining health.

Frank was born in Bronx, NY on August 3, 1929 to Frank and Irene (Josephson) Miele. He was educated in local schools and attended the New York School of Printing. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Upon honorable discharge, Frank took a job with the Boston Naval Shipyard. He branched out into printing shortly after and worked alongside his brother for more than a decade. Eventually he moved on to work at Crown Cork & Seal where he remained for 19 years until entering retirement.

Frank was a deeply generous man who raised nine children and who enjoyed the quiet simplicities of life. He spent his spare time fishing, ten pin bowling, and watching his favorite team the Boston Red Sox, and he was well-known for the way he truly savored every meal
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Dorothy (McCann) Miele; his children, Wayne Miele of Lowell, MA, Janice Grandy and her husband Tom of Scottsdale, AZ, Gloria Foley and her husband Bill of Plymouth, MA, Frankie Miele of Lowell, MA, Irene Collette of Bellingham, MA, Carolyn Lavigne of Fairfield, ME, William Miele of Lowell, MA, Michael Miele and his wife Jennifer of Chelmsford, MA, Ronald LaFleur of CA, Raymond LaFleur and his wife Joan of Alexandria, NH, and Roland LaFleur and his wife Linda of Alexandria, NH; brother Anthony Miele and his wife Arlene of Nashua, NH; his niece April Shewan and her husband Jeffrey of Nashua, NH; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and additional nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sons, Anthony Miele and Richard LaFleur.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, August 30th 9:00-11:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel followed by interment with military honors at 12:30pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen.
