Tribute & Message From The Family

Fredrica Kay (Flynn) Griffin, 73, long time resident of Raymond, NH, passed away Sunday the 11th of August at Concord Regional VNA Hospice House. She determinedly spent most of her final days at her home in Penacook, NH, the home she purchased in order to be closer to her husband who resided at the Veterans Home in Tilton.

Fredrica, or "Ric" as she preferred, was born in 1946 and grew up in the town of Lancaster, NH. She met her future husband, Clifford Griffin, in grade school and the two of them attended the same local schools until they became high school sweethearts. She continued her education at Vermont College where she earned an Associate degree before marrying her "Cliff", "Cliff-y", "Cliff-o", a marriage that would last fifty years before Cliff's passing in May of 2016.

She was well known in the town of Raymond, having worked in the town school system for 32 years as an administrative assistant. She had many interests and hobbies, but her greatest joy was to be among her family as wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was one of the four "Flynn Girls" sisters of Lancaster, including the late Patricia "Pat" Pelletier of Georgetown, MA, Maureen "Reen" Lacasse of Old Lyme, CT and Sharon Turmelle of Concord.

Ric is survived by her four children, Anderson Griffin (partner Bernie) of Fryeburg, ME, Peter (wife Heather) Griffin of Londonderry, Jodi Griffin (husband Chad) Berghoefer of Minnesota, and Jay (wife Katie) Griffin of Bow, and by her six beloved grandchildren Megan, Jacobus, Kaylin, Braeden, Ava, and Lydia, and one greatgrandchild, Flynn.

Ric was greatly loved by family and friends and will be sorely missed. She always had an abundance of personality, wit and attitude, although you might have missed it unless you read between her lines, or her fingers.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 16th at 12:30pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen, followed by a luncheon at Alan's Restaurant in Boscawen. The family welcomes flowers which may be delivered to the cemetery for services. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolence & Memory Journal

I am sorry for your loss, and may God bless you with good happy memories to help you all through the days and weeks ahead. Ric was my roomie in college; we shared such wonderful times; good memories. Whenever we spoke on the phone, it was like we had just left each other's side. She was always so proud of her family, and especially her grandchildren. We would compare notes.....I, too, was one of four sisters.....
God bless you all, and know she and Cliff are smiling down on you all.

I never read the Union Leader, but today I was drawn to do so. I can't tell you how sadden I am to hear of Ric's passing. We began our journey together in the guidance office at RHS and I couldn't have been blessed with a better partner to share the journey. I felt thankful everyday on the job that Ric was there. She made it a better place to work. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

Grammy, you were such a beautiful, intelligent Wife, Mother and most important a Grammy! Gosh there's so many things to say. I can't believe god took away such a beautiful, amazing blessing to this world.. I can't even say how much disbelief I'm in. You deserved a longer life a longer spot. On Friday, when I saw you. I was sad, scared what was going to happen to my grams. But that day you wanted me there you wanted me to give you your water. And it saddens me to know that, I can't do that again. But I had so much fun with you watching the birds. Your laugh, your smile is what brightens my day! Saturday was hard. I knew that it would be the last time I would see you. But not the last time I would think about you or hear your voice! Tears, tears, tears. So many but holding your hand and talking to you made me one happy girl! Grammy there are so many memories with! So many times I've cried because I've been told you don't have much longer. Your still with me and no one is telling me otherwise! Your with your love, my Grandpa. I love you so so so much Grammy Ric!
Love your beloved Granddaughter,
Ava Rae Griffin
