Roger was one of those rare people who seem to make life better for all the people who were among those he considered friend and family. My own life and the lives of my wife and my sons Jonathan and Jack were better for the life of Roger cassity.
To those of you had the great pleasure of fishing with our friend Roger, you no doubt know how important was the art of ducking. Despite the pleasures of these encounters, fish were not the only thing to find themselves snagged by one of Roger's best lures. Roger you will be greatly missed.

The memories of spending days fishing with Roger over the past 20 years are and will continue to be some of the fondest I have. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

My condolences to the Cassidy family.

Roger was just an all-around nice guy, even to those who were locked-up! He had an infectious smile and we will always remember him with that fat cigar in his mouth! RIP Kind Sir.

Very sorry to hear of Roger's passing. As a deputy sheriff, duties brought me to HCDOC many times over the years. Roger was a great guy, respected and respectful to all. He was a lot of fun to be around. He was very good at smoothing out issues and problems, without any fanfare.

My sincere sympathy to Roger's family and many friends. Rest In Peace.

My daughter and I were so lucky to have gotten to known Roger over the past few years. Times at the lake, sitting by the fire and making S'mores. The entire Cassidy family has shared so much love and continue to. We will miss you "Swami."

LT Cassidy was a great man and will truly be missed by many. I learned early on in my time at HCDOC not to play a prank on him, he never forgets. And when you least expect it, he will get you back. We shared many laughs.
My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.

Roger and I were best friends for 76 years, and I have so many wonderful memories of our friemdship . He was a wonderful man, and we always had fun together, our last visit was in July 2019. We both enjoyed sports, fishing, playing cards, and our families. I shall miss him and never forget him. He earned his wings. My wife, Mary, joins me in keeping the Cassidy family in our thoughts and prayers.

What a beautiful picture of Roger. Still remember the tour he gave me at the original VSJ. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. (Even those that gave him no reason to). I have nothing but extreme respect and admiration for him. My best wishes to all that will surely miss him.
