I would like to extend deepest sympathies to Kenneth's family. He was an excellent person, one who i enjoyed very much. I helped him with the Memorial Day Parade for several years organizing the second division consisting of Rundlett Junior High School Band, scouts, non military units. Then i got Ken involved in local politics in Ward 8, Concord Heights. I got him to volunteer as a ballot inspector, and then he ran for the Ward Clerk's position which he served for a few years. Ken was someone very special, he always spoke to you no matter where you were. He will be greatly missed, RIP Ken, i am sure you are in Heaven organizing an event.

Mr. B was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law. He was a true patriot and always wore his military hats and jackets proudly. He had many great friends and he was always fun to be around at family gatherings. He gave us a lot of good times together and he will be missed immensely. Rest in peace with Pearl now that you both can finally be together eternally.

My Dad was a kind hearted soul who loved spending time with family and friends. I will miss our coffee and donut visits and the many meals we shared. He is now with my Mom the love of his life.

Ken Barrett was a soldier, a Lion, a member of the VFW and the Legion, a Red Sox and Patriots fan, a great son, a loyal brother, a devoted and loving husband, but to me he was just my DAD. My Mom and Dad are together again.

I met Ken in 1965 when I joined the 197th in Concord as a Private. He was my First Sergeant and very helpful in welcoming me to Army National Guard life. He was a real gentleman and a positive influence in my career of thirty years.

My sympathy and prayers to the Barrett family for their loss. Kenneth was a terrific person and a tremendous leader to the many National Guard members that serviced under his command. The members of the 29th Aviation Detachment and the 397th. Medical Detachment will never forget his dedicated service.

Ken married my sister Pearl and was a steady family influence all their lives. He was dedicated to his military service and served with great pride. Together they raised four children. In the early years we would visit with our children while they played. I have many fond memories of our relationship, their love and their caring ways for family and others. I will very much miss them. Dick Severance

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ken's Family and Friends. Ken was one of my mentors as I went through the leadership chairs at the Concord VFW Post, District 4 Chairs and with the Concord Veterans Council.
