Today my heart is heavy as I remember the good times we shared and all the things he had done to go on to be one of my best friends. Doug in a way was the closest thing I had to a brother and was always there for literally as long as I can remember. He left this world far too early but none of us will ever forget the impact he had on our lives. Rest in piece my friend, I will never forget the love I had for you and the countless things I learned from you that turned me into the person I am today.

" This is a very sad time for our Family. Out of all of my extended Family,Dougie, You was always the closest to me,at times feeling more like a son than a nephew. My heart feels broken right now,but I know that one day we will hook up again and I look forward to that day. We had so many good times together that I've been playing them over and over in my head. The cookouts,Friday night poker games, playing horseshoes, watching our Boston teams Win Championships, just sitting around the fire partying, Crashing in my hammock,etc...We had so many good times. When it came to Politics and Religion,we always agreed and would bombard whoever was debating us with Facts, well at least they were Facts to You and I. But the thing that I will remember most is the Love and Respect that you always showed Me and Joan. We Love you so Much and will Miss you Dearly"

Rest In Peace brother, thank you for the years of mentorship when I started out my career, you always treated me with respect. I have thought of you often thru the years and asked how you were doing anytime I ran into family and friends.
