Tribute & Message From The Family

Nancy E. Healey, 62, of Manchester NH passed away on December 9, 2020 at her home with close family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 21, 1957 in Cincinnati, OH to the late William F. & Elizabeth S. (Evans) Healey.

Nancy grew up in Massachusetts and would later graduate from North Adams State College. She would go on to pursue a career as an IT technician for various companies, living for many years in Houston, TX, Wilson, NC and more recently Woburn, MA. She was a dedicated professional and often shared her love for her home state, including her favorite team, the Boston Red Sox, with her co-workers.

Nancy will be remembered as a generous, warm hearted and kind person who was always willing to give to those in need for nothing in return. She loved to travel, especially to Europe, and was always on the lookout for any antique furniture that might need refurbishing. She was also passionate about rescuing animals in need, having adopted several herself and dedicated many hours to making blankets for local animal shelters. Nancy was an ardent follower of US politics and would often call members of Congress when she disagreed with their policies. Above all, Nancy loved her family immensely, and always kept in touch with her large extended family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her four sisters Jo-Ann Dixon, Dawn Folkerts, Patricia Fields & Mary Jane Sawyer; brother Paul Healey; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A gathering and service for Nancy will take place on Saturday, December 19th from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester NH. A Spring Interment/Celebration of Life will take place in Woburn MA, date and time to be determined.

In Nancy's memory, donations can be made to benefit the Manchester Animal Rescue - or an Animal Rescue/Adoption organization of your choice.

We shared a lot of laughs, my friend! We even enjoyed a political discussion or two. Our friendship of 40 years endured it all--I will miss you for at least 40 years! I know you are comfortable now in the arms of Jesus while you catch up with Bill, Liz, and GOM. Prayers and positive thoughts to your siblings as they learn to live without you. Love you, miss you. . .your forever friend, Louey Douey in New Hampshire.

Nance will truly be missed by her whole family. She always sent the most beautiful hand written cards. Always so thoughtful and had such a positive attitude. I'm so glad she moved back to Woburn for a little bit before residing in Manchester. It was great reconnecting with her after so many years of her being out of state. Sending healing prayers to her family, for this great loss. ❤ We will always love and adore Nance.
