Condolence & Memory Journal

To the Slemp Family!
I just heard about this devastating news. I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Steven from Dunkin Donuts and I don't remember ever seeing him without a smile. I was part of the senior group that went in every day and we all loved him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

The last couple days at Cawley have been sadly quiet without Steve. He was always there to share a story and a laugh, and to remind me to go home to have fun at the end of the work day. He was a good man, and will surely be missed by many. I'm so sorry for your loss.

My classroom was always a little brighter after a visit from Steve. He was the most caring and genuine person, always putting others first. One day, he even helped me put new windshield wipers on my car when I mentioned I needed to take my car in to have them put on. He gifted us all at Cawley with fun-loving conversation and a smile and laugh that could light up a room. In the two years we had Steve gracing the school's halls with his vibrant presence, we were lucky. I will miss him dearly and am sending wishes of comfort and warmth as his friends, family, and loved ones grieve this terrible loss. My heart is heavy. We miss you.

Dear Joe, Kathy and family, I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your son Steven. I wish I could have been at the service, however, because of a prior commitment, I was unable to attend. But know my thoughts and prayers were with you then, today and for the days to come. Mario Pelletier Goffstown NH 1/3/2021

I cannot believe that he is gone.
As unexpected and heartbreaking as it is, I am glad I knew Steve for the short time I do did.
He had a good relationship with life, loved his family immensely, and laughed and smiled more than anyone in our department ever had.
Jessica, you made him one happy man!
You were the best thing that happened to him.
Joe and Kathy- your son loved you more than a lot of sons did.
You were very lucky y to have each other.
I am so sorry for your loss.

If anyone needs anything, please reach out.
In our thoughts and prayers.

The halls of Cawley will not be as bright without your laughter, smile, or the sounds of you singing to some classic rock in the evenings. Thank you' does not suffice for all that you did to take care of us. It was so evident how much you loved your girlfriend, parents, and family, it was often that they were mentioned in conversation. My heart goes out to them all. Thank you for being a light in our school community, you're going to be so sorely missed.
