Obituary for Carol Ann Cote

July 22, 1948 - December 6, 2018
Hooksett, New Hampshire | Age 70

Carol Ann Cote, 70, of Hooksett, NH, passed away on December 6th, 2018, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born on July 22nd, 1948 to Arthur and Margaret (Abott) Daneault in Lynn, MA, Carol would go on to spend the majority of her life in New Hampshire. She would later meet the love of her life, the late Gerard Cote, with whom she spent 27 years of happy marriage.

Throughout her life, Carol worked various jobs, ranging from administrative work to working in the Manchester mills. Despite her employment, Carol's greatest contributions in life came from her unrelenting generosity towards her friends, family and community. She always took care of those around her, regardless of whether or not she had anything to give, and took great pleasure from helping those in need. She will be remembered for her unbounded compassion, especially towards her family, whom she loved so much.

One of Carol's lasting impressions is her love of cooking and baking, which inspired her lengthy collection of recipes that she leaves behind. She deeply enjoyed cooking for her family, especially during the holidays, and loved to share her "5-star" recipes with friends and family. Memories of her chocolate cake will not be soon forgotten. Carol also loved to knit and crochet, making hats, scarves, mittens and other clothing for her family. Above all, Carol loved her family, immensely, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Carol is predeceased by her husband Gerard Cote; Sister Phyllis Stratton; Brother Paul Daneault; Brother Earnest Daneault; Niece Shelley Stratton and great nephew Daniel Mee.

She is survived by her Brother Eugene Daneault; Daughter Dawn and Steve Harsh; Daughter Christine and Rick Waid; Son Steven and Michelle Cote; Son Shayne Cote; 13 Grandchildren, Douglas, James, Kristie, Cody, Derek, Melissa, Eliza, Aaron, Latasha, Brandon, Ricky, Travis, and Mason. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours in remembrance of Carol's life will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 11:00 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium at 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH, with a service beginning at 12:00 PM. Her cemetery committal will take place immediately afterwards at 1:00 PM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, Carol would have wanted donations to be made to the St. Jude Children's research hospital or the Sisters of the Precious Blood.
