LITTLETON, NH -- Leo Longchamps, 82, NH passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on June 11, 2017.

Born on June 9, 1935, he was the son of Arthur and Julia (Bedard) Longchamps of Littleton, NH. Leo joined the Army in 1953 and trained as a paratrooper. He was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky when he met and married his wife, Maurene, on June 1, 1956. He was a carpenter for many years. He and his family lived in Landaff early on where he worked on Dr. Fredrick Erb's farm. After many years on the farm, they moved to Lisbon, where he was employed at New England Electric Wire Corporation. Upon retiring, they moved to Littleton to be closer to their children. He enjoyed many years of fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. His family was the highlight of his life.

Leo was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Maurene, his son, Jeffery, and his parents. He is survived by his children Patricia Hill and her husband, Mike, Sandra Rossi and her husband, Franco, Michael Longchamps and his wife, Brenda, all of Littleton, NH and Wanda Griggs of Edgewater, FL; sister Anita Cheney and her husband, Walter, of Avon Park, FL; ten grandchildren, Brian Hill of Saco, ME, Christopher Hill, Jenny and Katie Miller, Amanda Longchamps, and Giuliano, Nathaly and Luca Rossi of Littleton, NH, Jenny McConnell of Prattsburgh, NY, and Jessie Griggs of Edgewater, FL; seven great grandchildren, Katelynn, Brady, and Andrew Hill of Saco, ME, Damien and Blake McConnell of Prattsburgh, NY, and Huriah and Ashur Saykaly of Littleton, NH.

SERVICES -- Calling hours will be held at Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home located at 101 Union Street in Littleton on Wednesday, June 21st from 5 to 7 PM. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, June 22 at Sunnyside Cemetery, Route 117 in Sugar Hill with Pastor Flo Corey officiating.
