Constantinos “Costas” Routos, 87, of Manchester, NH, passed away May 18, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Costas was born November 27, 1928 in Athens, Greece, a son of John & Maria (Panagiotopoulos) Routos and had been a Manchester resident for many years.
Prior to retirement, Costas was employed with Sanders Associates for 30 years.
Costas was a man of profound prayer. His joy was to make you laugh and he was everyone’s “Papou”.
Costas was pre-deceased by his wife, Christina (Siomos) Routos.
Family includes his son, Rev. Fr. John Routos and his wife, Presbytera Ann Routos; four grandchildren, Rebekah Routos, Maria O’Leary, Martha Makris and Constanine Routos; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester. A Trisagion Prayer Service will be offered at 6:00 p.m. in Cate & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover Street in Manchester. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
