George Christy, 87, of Manchester, NH, passed away July 14, 2016 at Hillsborough County Health Care Center.

George was born April 11, 1929 in Manchester, NH and had been a lifelong resident of this community.

Prior to retirement, George was proprietor of Christy’s Candies for many years.

George was a longtime active member within the Masonic Fraternity and very much enjoyed traveling to Florida throughout the years with his wife Janice in their motor home.

George was pre-deceased by his wife, Janice (Anderson) Christy.

Family includes many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester.

Graveside Service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Bedford Center Cemetery in Bedford, NH.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Hillsborough County Health Care Center – Activity Fund, 400 Mast Road, Goffstown, NH 03045.

Cate & Johnson Funeral Service of Manchester is directing arrangements.
