Matilda G. Philippy, 92, of Manchester, NH, passed away March 22, 2016 at Forestview Manor in Meredith, NH.

Matilda was born March 24, 1923 in Manchester, NH a daughter of Frederick & Gabrielle (Rodriques) DeFreitas and was a lifelong resident of this community.

Prior to retirement, she was employed in the cafeteria department of the Manchester School District.

Matilda was an avid sports fan and very much enjoyed walking and playing golf.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter T. Philippy.

Family includes two sons, Chris Philippy and his partner, Laurie Dunlopand Gary Philippy and his wife, Claire; three grandchildren, Jason Philippy and his wife, Rae-Jean, Audra Philippy and her husband, Tucker and Mackenzie Philippy; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard DeFreitas and Gabe DeFreitas; as wells as many nieces and nephews.

Prayer Service will be offered at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum Chapel in Manchester at the convenience of family.
