Michael W. Murphy, 32, of Manchester, NH, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2016.

Michael was born January 12, 1984 in Concord, NH and had been a Manchester resident for most of his life.

Michael was a landscaper having been employed with Manchester area landscaping companies throughout the years. He very much enjoyed participating in local sports and was an avid sports fan.

Family includes his parents, Dennis J. Murphy Jr. and Margaret (Martell) Murphy; three siblings, Katie Gordon and her husband, Brian, Stephen Murphy and his wife, Sara and Andrea Murphy; five nieces and nephews, Cameron Gordon, Aaron Murphy, Reese Murphy, Regan Murphy and Haylee Murphy; as well as beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel in Manchester. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford, NH.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Road, Manchester, NH 03102.

Cate & Johnson Funeral Service of Manchester is directing arrangements.
