Paul “The Cat” Caterina, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center with his family by his side.

Paul was born in Belmont, MA, as the only child to Pasquale & Ethel (Bostick) Caterina, He graduated from Northeastern University and later relocated with his wife and family to Manchester, NH, where he enjoyed his family and many good friends for over 50 years.

Paul will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved entertaining family and friends. His favorite pastime was golfing at Intervale Country Club and following his favorite sports teams, the Red Sox and the Patriots. The family’s summer vacations together at the beach in Maine are treasured memories.

Family includes his wife of 61 years, Pauline (McDonald) Caterina; one son, Gary Caterina; three daughters, Paula and her husband, Bob Brodie, Eileen and her husband, Don Goodroe, and Sharon and her husband, Michael Hocking; as well as four grandchildren, Nathan Goodroe, Catherine Goodroe, Michael Hocking, and Sara Hocking.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel in Manchester. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Marshfield, MA.

Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
