Stephanos Michalakopoulos, 81, of Manchester, NH, passed away March 15, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was born May 30, 1933 in Athens, Greece, a son of Michael & Kalliopi (Papadopoulos) Michalakopoulos and had been a Manchester resident for many years.
Prior to retirement, Steve was proprietor of Steve’s Tailor Shop on South Elm Street for decades.
Steve very much appreciated his loyal customers throughout the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his good friends at the Manchester Greek Coffee Houses, however; family was at the center of his life.
Steve was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Ismini (Troupakis) Michalakopoulos.
Family includes two daughters, Kelly Urban and Tammy Nardi and her husband, Vin Nardi; one grandson, Nicholas Urban; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins here and in Greece.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester. A Trisagion Prayer Service will be offered at 7:00 p.m. in Cate & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Manchester. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
